Waves vs Samply

Samply shares the mix. Waves shares the session.

A stereo bounce is perfect once the song is finished. While you're still producing, collaborators need to hear the parts. Waves plays every stem in sync, right in the browser.

The bounce-and-upload loop

Built for the multitrack, not just the master

  • With a stereo bounce

Bounce a new stereo mix every time someone asks to hear the vocal on its own.

    Hear inside the mix

Every stem plays in sync. Listeners mute, solo and scrub the parts themselves.

  • With a stereo bounce

A collaborator sends a new guitar part, so you import it, re-bounce and upload v4.

    Parts land in the session

Collaborators upload their own stems and hear them in context straight away.

  • With a stereo bounce

Type the key and tempo into the notes so the session player knows what to play in.

    Session details on upload

Waves detects key, BPM and time signature from the audio when it arrives.

Side by side

How Waves and Samply compare

Both stream lossless audio with time-stamped comments. The difference is what you share: a finished file, or the stems behind it.

Right tool, right stage

Produce in Waves. Deliver however you like.

Waves is where the song comes together: stems, takes, notes and collaborators in one session. When it's done, the master is already sitting beside its stems, ready to share.

  • Samply

Final mixes and masters for clients and labels, plus Dolby Atmos deliveries.

  • Waves

Songs in progress, stems in review, collaborator takes, and the master beside them.

FAQ

Waves or Samply?

Is Waves a replacement for Samply?

It depends on your stage. Samply is excellent for sending finished mixes and masters to clients. Waves covers the production stage before that, when you and your collaborators are still passing stems back and forth. Many producers use Waves while writing and producing, then send the final master however their client prefers.

Does Waves stream lossless audio?

Yes. Files play at the quality you uploaded, including WAV, AIFF and FLAC.

Can I still share a single mix or master?

Yes. Upload a stereo file on its own, or put the master beside its stems so listeners can hear both. Share links work without an account, and you can add a password or turn off downloads.

Does Waves support Dolby Atmos?

Not yet. If you deliver immersive mixes, Samply supports spatial formats on its Pro plan.

How does pricing compare?

Waves Free includes 1 GB and 10 projects. Waves Pro is $12.99 a month for unlimited projects, stems and collaborators, with a 14-day free trial. Samply lists a free Basic plan with 4 GB, plus paid Indie ($5 a month) and Pro ($28 a month) plans on its pricing page.
