Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use Waves. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account.

Give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.

You keep full ownership of the audio, artwork, lyrics, notes, and other material you upload ("your content"). We don't claim any rights to your music.

To run the service you give us a limited license to store, copy, transcode (for example, making MP3 previews and waveforms), and stream your content to you and to the people you choose to share it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from short-lived backups.

When you invite collaborators or create a share link, the people you share with can listen to and, if you allow it, download that content. You decide who gets access and can revoke it at any time. Please only share content you have the right to share.

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don't have the rights to, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Upload malware, or anything illegal, abusive, or harassing.
• Use Waves as general file hosting or a public distribution service for content you don't own.
• Try to break, overload, scrape, or get around the limits or security of the service.
• Resell or sublicense access to Waves without our permission.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

If you believe content on Waves infringes your copyright, email support@usewaves.com with the work concerned, where it appears, your contact details, and a statement that you're authorised to act for the rights holder. We respond to valid notices and remove infringing material, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. Free trials convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then. You can cancel anytime from Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the current period.

Except where the law requires, payments are non-refundable. If we change prices, we'll tell you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal.

If you go over your plan's storage after downgrading, your existing files stay available but you won't be able to upload more until you're back under the limit.

Deleted projects, tracks, and stems go to Trash and are permanently removed after 30 days. You can delete your whole account from Settings, which permanently removes your projects and files and cancels any active subscription.

We work to keep Waves fast and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copies of important sessions. We may change or discontinue features, and we'll give reasonable notice for major changes that affect paid plans.

To the extent the law allows, Waves is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Waves after a change means you accept the updated terms.
